BTS of Rethinking Eastern Europe Group Show Installation at Copeland Gallery
Behind the scenes of installing 'In The Space Between Words', a group exhibition by Rethinking Eastern Europe at Copeland Gallery. This show brought together artists working across video, installation, photography, sculpture, and performance to explore the complexities of identity, memory, religion, and geopolitical shifts that have shaped the region. Through our work, we navigate both visible and invisible boundaries that define "Eastern Europe", questioning belonging, heritage, and transformation. By highlighting the region’s rich cultural diversity and its ongoing reinvention, the exhibition encourages a broader dialogue about the fluidity of national and cultural identities in a rapidly changing world.
It was brilliant to work with some of you again and to meet others for the first time, sharing a space to support and celebrate each other. Congratulations Zula Rabikowska & Vera Hadzhiyska on curating this powerful show, and thank you to everyone for your energy, teamwork, and commitment. It was a special experience, and I look forward to many more.
